Miss Caribbean World 2013 Pageant Goes Global

(Roseau, Dominica, April 22, 2013): Responding to calls from across the globe, the Miss Caribbean World Pageant 2013 will be carried live online for the first time.  The event is scheduled for May 4 at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex in Tortola, BVI.  Miss Caribbean World is in its 8th year and is now one of the most prestigious pageants in the region.

“It’s great to know that we have such a strong product that people are calling for it to be made available to them live online and we are very happy to be able to respond to that call.  We are pleased to be partnering with JTV and to leverage the technology and make it possible for the family and friends of contestants in their countries and in the Diaspora, pageant aficionados, supporters and other interested persons around the world to view this event.  Going global with this Show was always my vision,” said Alesia Hamm, Event Organizer and Miss Caribbean World Franchise Holder.

Troy Christopher, Managing Director of JTV, and Leroy Watson of JTV and Felix Augustine and Craig Bellot, owners and operators of, are the technical experts behind the videography and streaming of the Show and they are excited about the collaboration.

“We know that everyone can’t travel to Tortola for the event so we are bringing the show live to everyone.  We will be transporting viewers to the venue via pay-per-view, utilizing the talents of our teams and they can expect a quality stream that will make them feel that they are physically there,” said Mr. Christopher, on behalf of the technical teams.

There are 12 contestants in this year’s pageant hailing from Antigua & Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Trinidad & Tobago, the USA, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, St. Kitts & Nevis, The Bahamas, St. Lucia, St. Croix, Haiti and Cuba.  They will compete in five segments.  The reigning Miss Caribbean World, Dominica’s Nadira Lando, will crown the winner of the 2013 pageant.

The Show can be viewed for only US$15 and persons can sign up immediately by logging on to  Showtime on Saturday May 4th is 7:00 p.m.
